dogs win when they land in the right space
our mission
Less Than 5%
of dogs are returned when they land in foster care first
Evaluation of the ASPCA Adoption Ambassadors Program (Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science).
"I'd love to foster but um going away in 2 weeks"
That's where we come in, Homie automates a chain of care so dogs stop running out of time waiting.
Dogs run out of time, because peoples time is unpredicatlbe, in fast moving cities - but ciollectively, there is more than enough time - we just need to piece it together.
14x higher adoption rates through fostering
In a study spanning 51 animal shelters and nearly 28,000 dogs led by Dr. Lisa Gunter, dogs that spent even just one to two nights in a foster home were over 14 times more likely to be adopted than dogs remaining solely in the shelter kennel.

WHAT THE APP COSTS, FOREVER
your living room could save two lives, today,
Every dog fostered, is a kennel space freed up in a shelter, this stops over capacity shelters from euthanizing for space.
how homie helps
It doesn't just stop at fostering
Foster support is our focus, Homie's superpower is bridging the gap between foster and rescue, so everyone feels supported. Rescues need it just as much. We are all in this together
NO. 13
Homie keeps a simple, honest record of the dogs you’ve fostered and the homes you’ve helped them find. Your roll is forever part of their legacy, even after they re adopted - families can share updates, and everyone who advocated for each dog gets the news.
A Legacy worth remembering

“Eleven dogs. Eleven couches.”
OVERHEARD IN THE APP
THE LONGER READ
Why a dog sits in a kennel for weeks, until it's too late.
The harsh reality: Right now, dogs are being euthanized simpoly because of uncertainty.
Uncertainty from the rescues, pledges will be honred, and foster will actually show up. Uncertainty from fosters if they are going to be left in a difficult situation without proactive help.
Homie takes into account your availability, but also the availability of other fosters in the platform in the area. Homie knows the preferences, the types of homes, if a dog in need is good with dogs, cats, needs a yard, or will be fine in an apartment. This is all set up and the algorithm links a chain of care to the dog in need, no more dogs being euthanized because a foster is worried they wont be supported simply for having their own lives - This is why we built this.
Homie exists to close that gap. We give rescues, fosters, and volunteers one shared place to work from, so a dog’s file, its care, its photos, and its path home all live in one system that everybody can see and trust.
Were not trying to replace what a rescue already does well. We're trying to connect it, speed it up, and take the busywork off a coordinators plate so they can spend their time on the dogs and caring for the most important part of the rescue machine: the fosters.
The point of all of it is simple: get more dogs out of kennels and into homes, faster, with less burnout for the people doing the work.

FIELD NOTE · NO. 08
No more digging through texts or old email threads. Every conversation with your rescue lives in one place you can always find again.
NO. 06
Never foster completely alone
Other fosters near you show up too, and you can lean on each other: a sleepover while you’re traveling, a ride to the vet, an extra crate when yours is full. You give what you can, and it helps someone else the same way.
FIELD NOTE · NO. 11
Tell the app how many dogs you can take, when you’re away, and any limits on what you can handle. Rescues see this before they ask — so you’re never caught off guard.
“Away in July. Noted.”
FIELD NOTE · NO. 05
Supplies, a few days of backup coverage, a question for the vet — one message goes straight to your rescue’s whole team, not just one person’s phone. If something is urgent, a flag pages staff right away instead of waiting for someone to check messages.
“Urgent? Staff gets paged.”

Foster Pages
Every foster gets a page worth sharing
Fosters add photos, updates, and the dog’s story as it unfolds, then share one link anywhere. Adopters land on a page built to make them fall in love.

Looking for a home
Two years old, loves slow morning walks and long naps in the sun. Gentle with kids and ready for a calm home to call her own.

Photos and updates
Fosters are expected to keep photo and video content incoming, whether for promoting the dog or reporting behavior, medical or uncertainty. Rescues manage what gets seen by the public on a dog’s passport profile.
The dog’s real story
Personality, quirks, and what they need, written in the foster’s own words, audited by the rescue currently caring for that dog.
One link, share anywhere
Dogs deserve a centralized place - a link that can be shared in a story, a bio, a text message - we lean heavily into social media with getting dogs seen.
A page adopters love
Visitors land on a warm, ready-to-adopt profile, not a spreadsheet row. Eyeballs lead to adoptions, shares, potential new fosters and donation opportunities where 100% of the donation goes to the rescue it was intended for.
The compounding part
Your daily life with the dog becomes the marketing. Photos from the walk, notes in your own words — shared as one link that helps your foster dog get seen and chosen.
01
They click your link
A potential adopter lands on the dog’s page from a single social post or story.
02
They fall for the mission
Even people who don’t adopt share the page — and your dog’s odds compound with every tap.
03
They tell someone else
From first yes to adoption day, the app carries the admin so you can carry the dog. You’re never fostering alone.
THE APP, PLAINLY
No streaks, no scoreboard. Just the handful of things that move your dog forward today.
SMART MATCHING

Square, passport-ready photos from your daily life become the dog’s campaign automatically.
RECORD OF CARE

NO. 01
Homie shows you dogs near you that need a foster — and exactly what kind of help: a weekend while their foster is out of town, a few weeks while they heal, or a longer stay while they wait for their family. You pick what fits your life.

“A weekend. That’s all he needed.”
FIELD NOTE · NO. 02
If you care about a specific rescue, follow them — their dogs show up first every time you open the app. You never have to go looking.
“Their dogs, first.”
NO. 03
Log daily care in one simple screen
Medicine, weight, photos, daily notes, every dog gets one home in the app. You just tap what you saw: “ate well,” “a little tired.” You’re never asked to guess what’s wrong with a dog, only to say what you noticed. The rescue reads it and decides what’s next.

“7:40am. Mark given. Done.”
NO. 04
If a dog is on medicine, Homie reminds you when it’s time and lets you check it off. The rescue can see it was given, so nobody has to double-check with a phone call.
NO. 07
Every dog gets their own page link, QR code and Instagram post connectivity. Fosters and Rescues Co-Manage the dogs page. Sharing small wins and milestones of your foster helps the world fall in love with them and they find their perfect home.

“I posted her page. Three applications.”
NO. 09
Tell your rescue about your home, once
Describe your space — house, apartment, fenced yard, whatever you’ve got — with photos or a short walkthrough video. Completely optional, and a rescue only sees it once you’ve actually applied with them. The more they can see, the better they can match you with a dog who’ll be happy there.

“Hi, we’re the quiet-Sundays type.”
NO. 10
An optional video introduction your rescue sees by default, so they get to know you as more than a form. You choose if it ever goes public.
NO. 12
Sign everything without printing a thing
Foster agreements are signed right in the app. No printer, no scanner, no “can you resend that PDF.”
FIELD NOTE · NO. 14
Fostering with Homie costs you nothing. It always will.
“$0. Forever.”
